My Birthday Gift!

I received enough money this year to get the Gypsy! Wow this thing is so Assume!! I could have used it this weekend with all the cards that I had to make. I am so excited to use it, I am still trying to learn how to use it and all the feathers it has. Some time back I was thinking about getting the Juke Box but man I am glad that I didn’t this little Gypsy will hold all of my Cartridges in it so I don’t have to keep changed out the cartridges or have to get the Juke Box. If you already have the Cricut or you’re asking Santa to get it skip out on the s software and just get the Gypsy! It’s replaces the software just about I have not learned yet nor know if I can transfer my files over to the Gypsy from the software. Does any one know of some places were I can get some help on how to use this thing? The Website Video’s don’t work as good as YouTube for some reason.

Celebration Weekend Cards!!

I’m a bit behind on posting pictures of my cards and so many other things here are the latest from this weekend. We had Birthdays and Anniversary’s all in one weekend; they are displayed as special days occur.
Ironically I share my birthday with my husband parents; the same day is there anniversary. This is there card that I made for them. I used the Wild Card Cartridge but I had to widen the oval a little for the picture to fit in. Off hand I can’t remember what the cut was for the card and the envelope I do know that they didn’t go together but I made them go.
The Next day on the 22nd is my father in laws birthday. He LOVES Guitars!! So this card was made from several cartridges. The Wild Card and the Ideal Art. I welded them together to make the card and then I altered it with my scissors. His envelop was the one for the House on the Wild Card Cartridge I also altered it with a punch for the trim.

Then on the 23rd is my sister in laws birthday. She LOVES “twilight” the movie. So this card was the best one for being the first gift. I used here several cartridges too on this card. It consisted of Ideal Art, Home Decor, Wild Card, and Platinum School Book.

Sew Crafty Mini Sewing Machine

These little sewing Machines are really neat. My mom found two of them packed away at her house. I have been playing around with them just to see how they work and all. For some reason some one put Bad on the bottom of one but I have been reading the reviews on this item and found that maybe it was just a Human Error to why they may have thought the one was bad. You just have to read the instructions, do not pull or push the paper let the machine do it. The both of them sew perfect, and when it feels like it wants to jump check the tension, or maybe it's because the paper is to tight, so put another layer on the bottom. I have not quite decided what I will do with the other one. Been thinking maybe giving it away for either Member Rewards on Scrappers Delight but I have not quite decided. When the time is right I will know in the meantime I will be enjoying playing with one of these little sewing machines.

There is this group on Scrappers Delight that is called Scavenger Scrapping http://scrappersdelight.ning.com/group/ScavengerScrapping and what it is, is a group that made for you girls that like to go scavenging throw Antique Store, Yard Sales, Thrift Stores, and Flea Markets. These are some of my finds that I have found within the last year. Just last week I found the 2 stamps and snowflake stickers at the Comfort Antiques Show at one of the stores in their town. I paid 3.00 each for the stamps maybe a little high but I liked them, and the snowflaks were 1.50 and the Bingo card was 3.00 also.

We Are Home Owners!!

So on Sunday we closed on our new / gently used 2007 Jayco 29 BHS RV. Yeah I am so excited about it; I went and purchased a few items to place in the RV that day to make it ours. I even went throw my kitchen looking for things that I could add to it. It was so very nice of the perverse owners to give us with the RV a few things like utensils and plates to get us going. They even left some Toilet Paper, how kind now we know what to get. So here is what it looks like.

Last but no means least after my husband and I last night settled into our old 1950's home I realized I really should thank the sells man that was helping us at the location at Crestview, in Selma. We ended up going throw with an individual that needed to move this RV to pay for some other expenses. So last night while I was doing the Lundy I made this card and tock it to him today. His name was Jake and he was SO SO Helpful and if the deal didn’t go throw with the individual we were going to get a BREAND New RV that would have been smaller from him that is how nice we liked working with him. So I hope that he can put our card up on his desk and show it to his customers because we wrote a very nice letter about what type of person he is and how he did such a helpful job with us, and when we are ready to tread up he will be the one we go see First! So Jake if you happen to see this posting....Thank YOU and we will be seeing you around Crestview when we need parts.
I am so excited we have our first trip planed for 2 weeks from now to Del Rio but my husband just can’t wait we have the bug and we are itching to go some were. Today we went and purchased a generator so that we could go out This weekend instead, my family has about 35 accrues of opened land in Seguin, TX that has a well on it and that’s about all. Since our RV is a Self contained RV then we could just about camp there without any worries. The windmill if I recall needs repair but when I was a little girl with the well filled up I would play in the over flow sprout that made like a shower. It was so much fun then. Memories like this will make my little girls life so much happier. I think it will be so much fun to for Penelope to see the deer, jack rabbits, and Horny Toads. (is that spelled correctly?) Yes we can’t forget about the Snakes and oh my very big spiders out there but it’s defiantly an experience that she will never forget hopefully. Thankfully my aunt and uncle lives across the HWY if anything comes up, she is a retired RN that also RV’s the great US. So we will have some experts not to far away on the first time out in our RV.

Oh Please do leave me Suggestions on Parks and places to go!! We have to go to NY next year around the end of July and start of August. We would LOVE recommendations of places to visit!!

A card for my Neighbor

This card was in a magazine that I scrap lifted from. It was too cute and to me it was the perfect card for my neighbors. The original card said “The Grass Is Always Greener…” The reason why I changed it was because on Sunday when we came home from the pet expo our neighbor was out side BBQ and brought us a plait over. We thought that was so sweet they didn’t have to do that, but it was so good. Inside of my card I put, “from Neighbors like You!”

My Life In Paper Swap on Ning

This swap required us to make 12 tags that expressed who you were. These were my 12 enjoy learning a bit about me.
Welcome Family: Well this is my first tag and it makes since to me to have it first do to I have always put Family First. I love being around my family and my friends. My home is always welcome to them whenever they need it. I actually life in a small one story house that is from the 50’s I have a mint green bathroom and a EXTREAMLY small kitchen that is yellow. This house originally came with wood floors but for the 13 years that my parents lived in it never know there were really beautiful floors under that shag carpet. So when my husband and I moved in we ripped out the carped and found this wonderful floor. Unfortunately we didn’t have the money to repair some of the floors so we put the lamented floors down right on top that snaps together so that the floors one day could be restored. I wish that I could have more time to dedicated to the house and keep it tidier.
The Bridesmaid: Well, next year we will have to pack the family up for it's Family True First Trip just the three of us. It’s hard to come to reality thinking about that because there is so much that has to happen in order for us to go to NY on our end. Lots of Stress on us and very much work. I am excited about the trip but I get a bit stressed out when I think about what needs to happen to make it happen.
RV Style: Well, my husband and I have been considering the purchase of a RV. Why well, we sell and service most of South Texas and we travel a lot. You never know when a customer is going to call and say we are completely down and need you out NOW!! With this in mind we have been thinking this could be the answer we have been looking for to go to NY in. We would get to travel and enjoy our Vacation a bit more since we will be able to stop along the way and look at some really interesting things. Especially since I have only been around TX, New Mexico, Colorado and I flow to Georgia. My husband has been to just about the same place with a few ads like NY and Wyoming.
The Owls: Well if you were to take a peek in my stamp collection you would find not just a few of these owls but a good handful. I don’t even know why really other then they are so very cute. I don’t even like real owls not to be rude but they are not my favorite animals. I have even been considering the thought of purchasing some dies that are owls for my cuttlebug and cricut.
Amber’s Paw Stop: This is my second job. I sell dog shampoos, treats, custom made clothing, bedding, and greeting cards that I have been making. So far my little business has been doing very well. I am excited about each event that I go to and each time it seems to get a bit better. I hope that one day I will be able to have the money to have a store front selling these items. Please have a click over to http://www.amberspawstop.com/ I can ship just about anywhere. Twenty Eight: Most of my family and friends will not believe me this year when they ask, “How old are you know? And I respond with 28.” I struggle with people taking me serially most of the time since we both look like we are 18 or early 20’s. It’s extremely hard for me to deal with people not taking me serially I tend to get fed up with them and end up finding some body else that will take me serially or I tend to do the job on my own. I guess that is why I decided to make the decision to change my look last month and have my eyes checked and got new frames. For my birthday I wish that my husband and I could have a day to our self’s to maybe take a day trip or just be alone together. (Another opportunity to have the RV.) Go Green: Well I am not really a recycling freak but I do save my paper scraps after I cut stuff and reuse as much of it as possible on other projects. I like to try to think that I am helping by not throw that paper away helps to save something. Maybe not all the time you can save the paper and I have to go throw my paper stash and think how much More Can You Really Get Out of That Paper? and throw it away.

My gum of choice: I chew Trident because it is recommended by my dentist to help keep them healthy.
“I Love Peaches cause there so Delouses:” When I was a little girl my grandma had a Peach Tree in her back yard. We would go pick a peach and eat it right there. It was so YUMMY when they were fresh of the tree. This is one of the snacks that my little girl enjoys eating with me.
H2O: I included this in my tags because I struggle with health problems that REQUIER me to drink up to 4 to 8 bottles of water. Yes I make very many visits to the bathroom but it’s better than the alternative.
The Quickie: We work kind of weird Hours and sometimes we get home kind of late too late to actually eat something really heavy so this is a great way that I can keep my hunger down so that I am not as hungry in the morning.
Yummy: I am lack toasted and tolerant so this is one of the few ice creams that I can eat without much problems. It’s also something that I enjoy sharing with my little girl.

Gifts Received

Ok so in with many of the wonderful swaps I have received varies gifts. They have been so great I wanted to share with you some of them. Since I live in the United States Texas to be exacted I don’t think we get this catalog here in the states at least I have not seen them at the stores. This is what Jude has sent to me:

You should pop on over to her blog and take a look she occasionally has Blog Candy posted and she is helping her mother’s nursing home raise money by selling her cards. http://crafts-international.blogspot.com/

Here are the gifts that I have received from Tracy!

I love both of these gifts they actually have some things within them that I am already thinking of ideas for upcoming cards. I have a wedding coming up that I need a card for and I think this picture will work so pretty for a wedding card. Along with the embellishments that Jude sent to me I think the card would look so pretty. You Girls sure do know how to Spoil a girl!! Thanks so much I will defiantly be posting what I come up with.

Summer Time Fun

Here is my Summer time card I sent this card to Syn along with my Fashion Glam ATC card. I embossed the cut outs and used watercolor paper so that when I used the watercolor it would not bleed.

Recycle and Recues

I just had to share these with you. This is something I came up with out of the Blue. These are Aluminum bottle caps that I turned in to flowers. The back is the caps and I punched out flowers and curled the tips and put the flowers over lapped inside. They came out so cute, lastly I finished them off with leaves on the backs.

4th of July Cards

These cards were from the swap on Scrappers Delight on Ning. The card on top was the card I made and sent to Tracy the one on the bottom is what I received from Syn. Since Tracy is from Scotland I thought I would incorporate the Colors of Our Texas Flag in with my card. It works perfect since they are fourth of July colors too.

Birthday Greetings

These cards are made for family. One was from my husband’s grandmother and the other was for my husband’s Aunt. I think they both came out very cute!! I really enjoyed making them both.

The next card I made for my husband’s mother. Shush don’t tell her it’s posted here. Her birthday is still yet to come. Have you seen the New Version/ Dell commercial and they sing the Lollipop Lollipop on. Well I was a bit inspired to make this card from that. She used Apple though but she will not know that it was inspired by a dell commercial.

Ashley & Suzanne Just Married Card

I know I have not blogged in a while but I have been a bit busy with www.amberspawstop.com. This is one of the most recent things I have made. The background Photo is of Llano Country © Dennis Flaherty, I used my old calendar from last year. This card is for my cousin’s reception this weekend she was marred in March in Lubbock, TX. She is having a reception for her family here in San Antonio to meet her new husband. I thought this picture was the perfect background picture for her since a lot of her wedding pictures were taken outside.

Birthday Card & Gift

Birthday Card & Gift, originally uploaded by rebeccalevan81.

I made this card for my mom's friend at Jim's Frontier Cafe. The lady that is their waitress swaps cake recipes with my mom and dad. I though that this would be perfect combination of gifts, so my mom made the cupcake and I made the card.

New York Page

New York Page, originally uploaded by rebeccalevan81.

Well it’s finally finished!! And just in time to take it to Austin to deliver it to Vicky!! This is a Scrapbook page that I did for my sister in law for her friend that is getting married. Vicky lives in NY City and we had been working quite hard together working out colors though scans in e-mails. I air brushed the edges of the paper and used pop dots to make the flowers leaves pop up and the picture frame. The tag can come out and there is a message on the back for the new bride and groom from Vicky and her fiancé. I think this page came out very nice!! I really like how the bottom came out.

Fathers Day Card

Fathers Day Card, originally uploaded by rebeccalevan81.

This card is for my dad’s Fathers day. Last week he found a baby White Wing Dove in his back yard. We don’t know if a cat got to it or not. Then Yesterday he found another one that was cut across his chest we have taken both birds to the Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation so that the birds would have a chance of survival. The baby probably made it but the other one was really bad we have to wait to hear on that one. It's really cool taking the birds to the place about a week or so latter you get a postcard and it tells you if the bird was a male of female and how it's doing. So if you ever find a hurt wild animal try to find a Wildlife Rescue in your area and take it there they will take good care of it. Oh but don’t forget to leave a donation anything helps it’s better then not leaving anything at all.

The Great Stamp Swap

Hi ladies Do you have a lot of stamps? Do you have doubles? Do you buy stamps that sometimes end up collecting dust and you have not found that project to use that stamp on just yet? Then you need to check out the Great Stamp Swap!! We on Scrappers Delight on Ning are swapping our stamps that are just this. If you would like to take part in this swap please go to http://scrappersdelight.ning.com/ join the group and go under the Forum categories Swaps Title of the discussion is “Possible Next Swap.” We would love to have you come on over and take part we just completed a swap and we are waiting for our cards.

This Swap Group is not like some of the others where you have to make 10 or 15 cards and send it to everyone. This group is for the busy mom that like to take part in the swaps but does not have the time to make all of the same cards, tags, you get the idea. When we do our swaps you only have to do one item and you will have a random person that you will send your things to. You could have someone in the UK or in the US. It’s really fun to have a person overseas I have had several and their things are so cool it’s like things are way different there. Yes everyone has there own way of creating and that plays a big role in it but to me it’s really cool. Hope to see you come over, have a great weekend. (For easy access I have made the harder the Link to the Ning Group)

Mothers Day Card Revised

Mothers Day Card Revised, originally uploaded by rebeccalevan81.

This card is one of two cards that I made for Mothers Day one for my mom and one for my mother in law. Not sure who is going to get what card but I used my Easter gift on this card to do the embossing of Happy Mothers Day. I also used the idea with the flowers from my kit that I received from Sheree at http://teddyree.blogspot.com/. Thanks for the inspiration Sheree.

I hope everyone has a Happy Mothers Day!!

I sow an idea like this at fantastINK http://fantastink.blogspot.com/2009/04/in-dog-house.html her card was so very cute. Since I sell Shure Pet Products I thought that it would make a great invitation for the Dog Parties. So this is my rumination of her card. Thanks for the inspiration.

Vicky’s Tag

So this weekend my sister in law was talking to her brother Dustin that she had to make a Scrapbook page for her fiancé’s brother’s fiancé’s wedding that she is in. Kind of confusing I know. She does not scrapbook and didn’t think that her page would be that great. So I offered to help and we have been working though e-mails and we have been talking on the phone trying to figure out what we are going to be doing for this page. This is the tag that I made for the page, the picture at this moment is the only thing glued down since Vicky (my sister in law) is in New York and I am in Texas. Thankful Dustin’s mom is going to go to NY this weekend to help Vicky with her wedding plains and take the tag up to Vicky so her and Shawn can write a message to the couple in the picture. Then Dustin’s mom will bring me back what Vicky has up there. In May Vicky has to come in to Austin to help her other friend that is getting marred so we will be going to Austin to give her the page. She has got the main paper for the page and some little NY Stickers. I can’t remember the couples name but the page that I am doing for Vicky is “The Proposal” so it could very well be the first page in her scrapbook that they are put together for the new bride.

Penelope's Christmas Pages

I was trying to work on finishing some of the pages that I am a bit behind on since our TV went out this week so I finally had the chance to sit down and pick out the pictures from the very many of Penelope’s first Christmas. Since for Easter I received the embossing stamps pads and powder, I thought I would play around with it and learn how it works, I liked it lots!! Looking back at the past pages I can’t believe how much she has grown over the year. I am pretty satisfied with how this page came out.

Easter gifts!!

Well, I guess no one is too old to get Easter presents. This weekend I got these cool tools that some of them I don’t even know how to work just yet. Ok ladies I need some help here; I can’t exactly figure out these Cutter Bee Bugs work, does anyone have any suggestions? Also I received these little ink pads that do embossing and the powder but it looks like the Easter bunny left out the embossing tool. My husband thought that he had one here and he does we just can’t find it right now. So any suggestions on what I can use temporary? I thought about a blow dryer but I have not had the chance to try it just yet. So do you think that could work if not then where can I get a nice one for rather cheap and not to expansive I don’t know if I am going to like this? The pages in the back ground are Penelope’s Birthday page. It’s actually 4 pages there are 2 clear pages like transparently over the blue poc-a-doted paper. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter I will close with some pictures of Penelope’s easter. Enjoy she did!!

My Wedding Invitations

My Wedding Invitations, originally uploaded by rebeccalevan81.

Before I was even thinking Scrapbooking I had to come up with just about 100 + wedding invitations for my wedding. My husband helped me make over 100 of these and my sister in law created the bride & groom back ground. I was going though some things tonight when I found this I had to share it with you guys. The background red paper and the bride and groom are on card stock. There is a transparent overlay on top of it, one that you would use for an over head. Then I punched the holes and tied it with ribbon. My colors for the wedding were red, white and pink, since Dustin proposed to me on February 12th, 2006 kind of around Valentines. If you read the invitation yes we planned a fabulist wedding in six months.

Looking back I wish that I had of. I could have at least a few books filed by now. When Penelope came along that’s when I started thinking how am I going to record her favorite moments. How and I going to show off my little girl all of my own baby pictures are still in a draw or box. That’s no way to remember what happened to you growing up. So then I was at Wal-Mart and my husband was looking at some magazines and I picked up the Scrapbooking ect. one and got thinking that maybe Scrapbooking is a great way to keep Penelope’s pictures together.

Easter Egg Chick and Bunny

This is an Easter bunny and chick that could be a duck and a cat. The Chick came out really nice I found the directions to this in an e-mail from Scrapbooking.com. The bunny I came up with on my own. It not as cute I think I should have used some whiskers of some kind. I don’t know it may have ended up really looking like a cat then.

Scrappers Delight Ning Forum

So I thought that I might try this for all you wonderful ladies. Some of you probably have other friends that you like to chat with on other message boards but I was hopping to bring all of you’ll together on one meeting place. This is Ning it’s a place like Facebook but I created it for my followers here and for my other friends on Flickr. It will allow you to chat with others that or online and give you instant messaging with other new members of the forum so you have an opportunity to meet new people that enjoy scrapping.

Here is the Direct Link to the site: http://scrappersdelight.ning.com/main/authorization/signUp

If you have any problems let me know like always, I look forward to seeing you there.

Thin Mint Page

Thin Mint Page, originally uploaded by rebeccalevan81.

This page was done for fun but I also did it for the Green Challenge on Flickr: Scrap Card Making Group. It’s not a card but its defiantly GREEN and it’s made with things that I reused. The Challenge was to come up with ways of using house whole items that you are going to throw away and if you can use it on your project. Water bottles have cool textures maybe roll it in a stamp and use it as a print. Labels on packages are very nicely colored cut out things from the plastic. Mail outs, the junk mail sometimes has really pretty things on it maybe us it to cut stuff out of to. So when our very nice UPS guy gave Penelope her very own Thin Mint when he came to eat lunch one day. I tock that as my opportunity to make this page for her. I really did not think it was a Green page till I started it. I tock the box of Thin Mints and cut it up most of the materials where scraps of paper that I had I only purchased the big green paper in the background and the paper that I mated the pictures on, oh yeah and the ribbon. The Buttons belonged to my grandmother and was in her sowing box I have been keeping them for something now they have a new home.

Thin Mints Nutrition Facts

I need your help. I am working on a Scrapbook page for Penelope and I have seen in the stores the Mommy to be Nutrition Facts and the new baby Girl and Boy I wanted to change this one for the goodness of Girl Scout cookies.

If you have any suggestions on what I could put let me know I am open for ideas.

New Header

So since I got my Wabcom Bamboo & Adobe Elements 6 Software I have been trying to learn how to work it. There are times that I just got so frustrated with it because I just didn’t understand it at all, since I was so used to working in the older Adobe Software. When I first begin I really at the time did not know what I would try first but I really liked the card that I made for my friend and I thought maybe I would try turning the picture that I tock of it into the header for here. I did cheat a little and save the file and go to my older computer and do it the way I know how on that one and then save it again and go back to the new adobe. I probably should not of done that but I don’t quite get the jiff of how this new Adobe works. In time I will probably LOVE it but until then I will have to take it one step at a time and learn what I can when I can. Hope you like it; maybe if I get sometime I will create the New Scraptastic Award too before the end of the month. I have no idea what I will start with on that one.

I might actually try this on some of my cards know. Thanks for that tip too. I really enjoyed this card. I may have had some hard time with placing the Hug down and spacing it on correctly but I really liked it all. Thank you I had fun with it tonight.

Thank you gift!!

In February I received a package from a friend in my Flickr group, as a thank you for all I do for the group. She had sent me all these wonderful things along with this card. I have been trying to think of a way to thank her. She didn’t have to do this and I have enjoyed coming up with some ideas of what I will use some of these things for. Although I have not had the chance to use a lot of these just yet I plain on using them as soon as the perfect thought comes to mind. So as a thank you I will be sending her this:

I am sending her a Betty Boop Stamp that I no longer use. I got it some time ago so I don’t even know if you can get this stamp anymore. I also found this little owl that I just really thought was to cute and I purchased 3 of them one for her one for me and one I can’t tell you yet what I will do with it. Then I found these little note cards that I though she may enjoy doing something with, and 5 little hair bows for her 5 little fur friends. I also found this felt, I had seen Neall Hyman on Paperclipping us it before on her iTunes Podcast. She really made them look very nice. I thought she would like to play around with it and see what she could come up with. She will be getting 4 ½ years of this. Oh yeah and a die cut that I made of the Bird with Leaves this is from Sizzix.

St. Patrick’s Day Tag

This is a St. Patrick’s Day tag that I made for the ladies night at my husband Lodge. This was my first tag that I made. It’s not the greatest but I thought it was cute and I would share it with you guys. I put it together kind of fast I would have liked to do a little more and maybe not so big of a main cut on the front. If I have time I might make another one just to play with.

Monday, March 9, 2009

I just had to share this with you guys, it’s way to cute. This is Penelope Singing along with her Piano. We got this piano at an antique shop in Boerne, TX. Best I can tell from reading online it's from the 50-60's, and it still plays great!

Wabcom Bamboo & Adobe Elements 6

Since I got this new computer with Vista a lot of my creative design element programs don’t convert over. I even had my husband look at it to make sure I was doing it right and it was not just me. I have had these programs since 1998 it was time to upgrade. I use to us Adobe PhotoDeluxe 1.0, yes that is an old one but I liked it very much. Know I have jumped all the way to Adobe Elements 6 and I’m like wow what a deferent’s. I need help I don’t know how to work it very well any suggestions on where I can go to learn? I’m open for ideas I have looked on You Tube and that does have helpful information but I need more maybe even like how Apple has the classes on how to work things. I would not mind that, if you have ideas let me know I would like to hear how you like your Bamboo if you have one and how you learned about the Adobe solfware other then just playing around with it. I got mine for Graphic Design purposes since I make logos for customers.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Game Peaces

Right after Christmas I purchased this game for Penelope. It had these boxed that you put the food in that you earn for the caterpillars in but I thought that the game needed something else so I made these. Kind of like how all the other games have Game Pieces that you can move around the boards this is just like that. Yes they are a little bigger then I had expected but I think they will work for know. I cute them out of White Card Stock and they colored them with marker. If they don’t last very long I will just have to make some smaller ones.

March Scraptastic Award

Importuned Notices: Just in time for the winner(s) for March!! All I ask is that you e-mail me for the rules before you post to your sight. I understand how sometime things get in the way and you may not be able to get right back to me on your nominations but the voting sight has to start at the beginning of every month so that everyone has an equal chance of being on the votes. If you send your nominations in late I may not be able to put them up. If you’re the only winner of the award then you need to send in by e-mail (rebeccalevan81@yahoo.com) or response to this posting your 5 nominations. I will do the rest for you. If you fell to respond to me at all during the time that I allow then I will have no other chose to go down the line of nominations that have received votes next. If you’re the winner and in the chance that you do get back to me after the dead line you still are entitled to post the award to your page.

My Husbands Valentine!!

This card I made for Dustin. I liked the verse on Jan’s card she send me from the swap so I hand write it on this card. I used a stamp for the bird and colored it in with markers and a sparkly pen. I also used my Cricut Expression to cut the tree branch and music notes.

Valentines Cupcake

This Cupcake was made with strips of paper that I embossed then stamped and cut. I found the bottom cupcake part at Jo Anns 2 for $5.00 so I ended up with 4 of these bottom parts. I used a piece of foam for the inside to keep the spirals in place. To Download the Directions for this cupcake you can find it on the Scrapbook.ect page at: ScrapbooksEct.com/162 or just click on the header where it say's Valentines Cupcake.

Mom’s Birthday Card

Here is a card that I made for my mom. I used the ribbon form my valentines swap that I received from Jan at Expressive Papers. The card is simple but I liked it that way simply because I did not have a lot of time since this weekend was the Pet Expo and it was on my mom’s birthday. I like how the sides with the ribbon came out and I liked the cupcake. I thought the flower on top of it would be more appropriate then a candle because you now how when people see candles they think age and I didn’t want her to think about here age.

Flickr: Scrap Card Making Valentine Card Swap

This card was made for my friend Andria from Iona-Rose Designs. She is a member of the Scrap Card Making group on Flicker. Along with the card I send the pink ribbon. I think this card turned out so cute. I was very pleased with how nice it turned out, that I wanted to make one for me to keep. I used my Cuttlebug to cut the flowers out and the Cricut Expression for the other stuff, and I added the hearts they were confetti that you find in the party section at Wal-Mart or Party City.

Sample Pet Invatations

This is a sample Card that I made for the invitations when people would like to have a pet party for Shure Pets. The cards may vary but I wanted the customers to have an idea of with we were talking about when I said homemade cards. This card will cost the host if they want these, and they can be customized for themes.

Thank you card for Family

Since I do not drive I had no other choice to call upon my family to help me get Dustin home from Ozona. Thankfully Marian and Jack, my adopted Aunt & Uncle was just sitting at home doing nothing. They came to my rescue. My mom and dad would have been so exhorted to help after working all day and who would open shop the next morning. The little sign on the right says "San Antonio," and on the left "Ozona." Thank havens for special family friends.

Penelope's First Halloween

So I have been working on Penelope’s Halloween pages. I know it may seam a little cluttered and crowded but I only had the two pages and I had all these cute pictures. Yeah I could have left some out but it’s so hard to pick. During the day Penelope was a Texas Longhorn Cheerleader and at night she was a black cat. She got lots of candy that she could not eat but she got to try some. She liked the Mini M&M’s, and a small bit of the Resses. I forgot to add that the Our 360 photography group tock the pictures of Penelope in there costume with the blue background.

The Circle Bar Travel Lodge Thanks

This card is for the owner of The Circle Bar Travel Lodge in Ozona, TX. My husband was doing some work on there Registers on Thursday and passed out she was so kind to have EMS come out and take him to the near by Hospital and then she let him stay in one of there Hotel rooms. I branded the Texas with there branding that they us as a logo. If you make it to Texas and your passing by Ozona feel free to stop in they have great food and a very nice place to stay. Indoor pool and hot tube. So it maybe cold out now but you can still play in the water. =)

Penelope's Scrapbook Cover Page

So here is my Cover page of Penelope’s Scrapbook. The picture was taken at the Hospital they have a very neat photography group that will come in and take these really nice pictures of your new born in the room with you a day or so later after the baby is born. Then when they mail you the pictures they send you a coupon to get a free picture. We tock advantage of the free picture and this photography group is so neat they come to you at your home and take the pictures for you. I love this group, yes the price is a little high but you are paying for the service. They allow you to get the baby dress and ready while they set up. You get to us props that are special to you instead of there props. I wish I could remember the Studio’s name I think it’s Studio OUR 360 but I can’t be for sure. There is no limit to how many people can be in the picture and no extra cost. When I get the next page finished you can see more of there work.

Penelope's Smile

Here is one of my first pages that I made. My sister-in-law helped me with it. She made the letters, baby stuff and the cute little smile on the left. I improvised with the giggly blue eyes since Penelope has Blue eyes. (I hope they stay that way.) It’s not the greatest I tried overlapping some of the pictures and cutting into the paper to pull the paper over some of the pictures. So of it worked and other did not so well. This is a learning prose’s and this was my first try it’s really not to bad.

Bath Time Fun!!

Here are Penelope’s bathtime pictures. These pictures where some of her first times in the baby tub that you have them in before they can play it the real tub. I recycled form a gift bag that had the clear circle on it to use over the bubble circle pictures. I also used stickles to highlight some of the bubbles. Oh this is one of the cutes things about this page maybe later I will go and try to make this a little better. Next to the turtle there is a nursery rhyme that I learned when I was a little girl. “I have a tiny turtle his name it Tiny Tim, I put him in the bath tub to see if he could swim. He drunk up all the water, he ate up all the soap and in the morning he woke up with a bubble in his thought.”

Message Board

So this is nothing fantastic but it’s part of the New Years Resolutions to clean up and get organized at work. We are such a mess and customers say they called and the messages are getting misplaced so this was my solution hopefully it was a good one. I used my Cricut Expression to cut out the lettering. I got the cock board on sell at Hobby Lobby for 12.99 and I got a discount on top of that so not bad. I hope this works out really nice for us.

Finished Pages for Penelope's Scrapbook

Ok here are the finished pages you might have seen this before they are posted at the very bottom of the page, the before, and this is the after. I tried to mat them on paper that would complement the page because I thought that the paper was so pretty. Not really sure how I like it. I don't think it looks too bad.

Oh and before I forget I hope that all of you’ll have a very Happy New Years tonight and for the rest of the new year bring you plenty of happy memories that you will be able to scrap about, Memories that last a life time.

My Dad's Birthday Card

Today was my dad’s birthday! He was a hard person to make a card for but this is what I came up with. I like to make my cards personal he has no hobby and he sells Cash Registers so how was I supposed to make something for him around that. His second love is Penelope and that's what I worked around on his card. Penelope was close to New Born in these pictures she was very small nothing really fit her very well.

My First Award!!!

I can’t believe this I received my very first award from my friend Andria in the UK http://iona-rose.blogspot.com/!! This is very awesome I put a lot of thought into which ones should receive the Award, so I hope that you will have just as mush fun thinking about who you will give your award too. Here is what I had to do. I had to think about 5 things I was addicted to and 5 people that should receive the award next.
Here are my answers, 5 things I am addicted to:
1. My husbands Love!! He does so much to make our little family a success!!!
2. My little girl that is 8 months old, she can turn any day bright even if she is not happy at that time, just being around her brings me joy.
3. The spirit of Christmas because I love to give to my family.
4. Card Making because I have made so many and I enjoy seeing what the finished predicted looks like.
5. This one may sound crazy but my husband says that I try to hard to make people happy.

This one was hard to come up with. I have so many friends that I like to go look at there pages so if you were missed then please understand I had to chose only 5 Recipients:
1. Jana_NJ http://2worldswings.blogspot.com/
2. Jasmine http://www.oysterflowers.com/
3. Janrobi http://expressivepapers.blogspot.com/
4. Doakie's Creations http://doakiescreations.blogspot.com/
5. Happy Scrappin http://happylivin4jesus.blogspot.com/

Ok this card was one I made for the Christmas Card Swap on Flickr: Scrap Card Making. I mailed it off to my secret person for her Christmas Surprise but she has not posted that she has received it yet and I know she probably has because she too was in TEXAS so I just can’t wait any longer to keep this card a secret any longer I had to share it with the world.

My Parents Christmas Card

This card is for my Parents! I realized that I didn't have a card for them on Saturday when I was going though all of the cards and checking them off the list. So I had received a card in the mail from a friend and her card was nice and it was my inspiration to create this one. I liked some of the elements that were on that card and I applied similar ideas to mine.

When I was pregnant and the day before I went into the Hospital she came into the shop to give me a gift for Penelope. She keeps a picture of Penelope on her Cell and whenever she gets a new phone Penny goes with her!! How sweet is that, you truly can't find a nicer person that works at sprint!!!

Randy's Birthday Card

Ok so here is Randy's Birthday Card. I didn't know what to do for him because he is so very much in to Guitar Hero, his dad’s electric guitars and Rock Band!! He wears black and it was really hard to make him a card that would fit his personality. This is what I came up with the Happy Birthday that is really hard to see at the top was done with Metallic Markers. I used my Cricut to cut out his name. I found the Electric Guitar on the Internet and cut it out and used my markers to make a shadow effect under it. I also used my deferent cutting scissors on the edge to make the borders. The Cupcake well it came out way better then I had expected. I did the inside with in like 20minits I was in a hoary to get out the door with it. I used the Cricut to cut out the cupcake and I glued the sides of the cupcake down and tucked some money inside. I thought that was cool because the cupcake looks like it's popping off the page ready too eat. Oh I used sparkly brown mist to create an icing swirls look to it. That’s hard to see though.

ABC Books

So when I get the chance I have been working on my set of letters for the ABC Books. I still need to complete letters O and P hopefully once the New Year is over things will start to slow back down. These books when they are complete will go to Methodists Children's Hospital Blue Birds Auxiliary for them to donate to New Moms. This Project is open to anyone that would like to help. It would be a great Service project for a Girl Scout troop, or Brownies, or even if you just want to help out a good cause. Please contacted me and I will send you the information needed along with supplies.

Ok so I have been trying to make this Award that I would like to put on your blog page saying that I like your page. But I have been having some difficulties with how to make it an HTML/JavaScript button. In order to receive the first button I need you to apply.

How to apply to receive the button:

And we are OFF!!

So you have read many times about the trees going to be for table decorations for our Christmas Party. Well if you are wondering what Masons are then maybe this link will help: http://www.grandlodgeoftexas.org/. My husband is Master of his Lodge San Antonio Lodge Number 1079. They are a group of men that when they all put their minds together they can accomplish many good and great things. This weekend is the beginning of the annual event called Grand Lodge. All the lodges in Texas assemble in one location that being Waco, TX and they go and vote on things they would like for the New Year in their own lodges. I have only been to installations and other opened events, they are kind of intersection for someone that wants to understand more about the Funereal Organization. They also have things for their youth in the family, Rainbow Girls, DeMolay, there was Job’s Daughters and the Order of the Eastern Star. They all do really great things if you would like I am in charge of one of the projects for my husband’s lodge just as a helping hand. The wife’s can help without side events here is our group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/masoniccraftgroup/ if you would like to check it out. We are creation the ABC Books that will be given to the Methodists Blue Birds for new moms. So if your husband’s a Mason no matter what region of the earth they are everywhere and many US presidents have been masons your welcome to join our group and help with our ABC Books I will send you the paper. See what my sister-in-law has done to help. http://scrapersdelight.blogspot.com/2008/11/here-are-some-pages-that-my-sister-in.html

Christmas Trees Completed!!

So here they all are!! Finally they are all finished!! I will put 2 trees per table for the party there is 5 tables! I think they came out very nice. Witch one is your favorite? Mine is the white one.

I had some comments on a forum about how to make these so here are the directions good luck and if you have any questions I will try to help you with a little more explanation.

All I ask is that you do not summit this project to be published without my OK. I came up with this idea just by looking at another picture in a magazine and it was a metal tree I believe.

3Demantali Christmas Tree
Items Needed:
Cuttlebug Machine and spacers
Cuttlebug 2''x2'' Dies 4/pkg-Flower #1
Cuttlebug 2''X2'' Die-Snowflake #2 or Star punch
Something to punch a small hole not a hole punch size just a little smaller.
Thin Popsicle Sticks
Pretty paper of your choice for Tree and Star
Craft Glue and Glue Stick or glue dots
Scissors

How To:
Cut your Flower dies from the paper that you’re planning to make your tree from, one of each 4.

Then cute 2 of the lager Star from the Snowflake die or use your Star punch.

Then punch your hole in the center of the 4 flowers.

Next cut a line between the scalps of the flower to the hole, do not cut the flower in two.

Now it’s time to assemble the tree, start with the larger flower first. You have a choice of gluing the flower overlapping one or two of the scalp parts of the flowers. (I made a verity of both types.) As you’re doing this you need to make sure that your stick will fit in the hole that you’re going to be leaving so as your gluing the flower you should check the popsicle stick if it will fit in the middle of the hole your leaving. You can put a little bit of the Craft glue to hold it in place on the Popsicle stick for the trees stem. You will do this for all 4 remember to start with the bottom up, leaving a small bit to attach the star.

Last but no means last you will glue your stars on the top of the stick. Hopefully you left some room on the stick. You should glue one star on one side and the other on the other side, back to back with the stick in the middle.

The tree is complete now; you will have to come up with your own stand. I used soda pop bottle leads. You could use clay and form it so that it looks like a dress skirt.

Hope this helps have fun in making them.

New in Town!!

This weekend I went to this new store in town. I didn’t get to look much at the line of paper but the store did have some thing really cool about this location. They actually sell Dies and Die Cutting Machines, no Cricut though just QuicKutz and the Pink QuicKutz Squeeze. I was really imprested with that, and I had never had the chance to test out a cutting machine before I purchase it. They had them both out for you to play with. I thought that was really handy for the customers because I had no idea that the QuicKutz was magnetic. That was very interesting to learn, oh and they have $1.00 dies for the season great buys if you need little gingerbread people or Christmas trees and other things. They also had the Alpha for $15.99 that's a pretty good price! I was very imprested so if you’re ever in the San Antonio, TX area and like to check out our stores then try this one.

Friday I received my Birthday check form work Finally and then today I went to my mother in laws house there 2 other birthday items where waiting for me. They were in small envelopes. So when I opened them there was Money inside. Know I didn’t know that my husband had been spreading the roomer around that I wanted a Cricut the amount of money that I received from the gifts I was able to get the Cricut Expression for $199.00 at Wal-Mart!! I was so excited, although we did have to go to one Walmart to the next to find it but I have to say that a Nice lady at the Michael’s tipped me off to the savings at Wal-Mart. I was just about to get the Cricut Create Machine when she told me to go to Wal-Mart!! Thanks so much if you ever read this!! I just need to learn how to use this thing know.

Snowman Ornaments

Here is a snowman that I made to go along with the trees. I was going to use the glue dots to make him stay upright on the tables and then let our guest take them home to hang on their trees. I found these cute little guys at Michaels, 4 for 3.99 not too bad.

Bearbucks Christmas Card

This is a card for my Mother in law, she LOVES Starbucks so much she goes there every day. I used the embellishment of the bearbucks from www.oysterflowers.com she has other items that are very cute you may want to check out her web site. Most of the other items are from my cuttlebug but I can't be for sure what the bear is because I purchased the die off e-bay and the seller would not reveal to me what brand it was. The green flower was also a gift with the purchase of the bearbucks from www.oysterflowers.com. I also used a rub-on for the "Happy Holiday's."

Today is my birthday!!

So today is my birthday and what a wild ride life has through to me today!!! It so has been one of the most scariest day’s of my life I think, and not because I’m getting older either. I hope that when I get the opportunity to kick back and chill out I can and maybe make something fun with these cool little stickers. I love the pop up flower stickers that she got for me and I think they will work really pretty with that paper I found. I hope that maybe I will be lucky again to find another page of that same paper. Anyway if your reading this Vicky THANK YOU I SO LOVE MY GIFT!!!

ABC Books

Here are some pages that my sister in law made for the ABC books that the Yahoo Masonic Craft Group is working on. These books are going to be donated to new moms. I think her pages look so fun and I think the kids will enjoy looking at them with all the colors she has used on the pages. If you would like to help with this project all is welcomed. All you have to do is contacted me by either responding to this posting with a comment or maybe trying to email me for the groups e-mail masoniccraftgroup@yahoogroups.com and I will be glade to send you the paper and the other letters that need to be made. I will also provide you with what I can on die cutes that I have available. This can be a really fun project if you have one of thought really nicer die cutting machines it was be very fast and simple for you to do. You could cut the letters and some of the other things that begin with that letter and get it accomplished really fast.

Suzanne & Jeff's Anniversary Card

This is a card for my mother and father in law’s anniversary. I think it is there 27th year, not real sure about that. Anyway, I made the card with this really pretty shinny paper that did not work well with stamps. They smeared really badly but I did try one of my pins and that did work a little better. I cut the rings out of one of my jewelry magazines that I got in the mail form one of the stores here in town. I used rub-ones for the rest of the words. Toughs worked really well much better then the stamps. I will have to keep that in mind the next time I use this paper.

More Christmas Trees

So I had to take a brake form all the cards I have been making. Instead I have been making these trees using my cuttlebug die cutter and the flower cuts. They are coming out so neat, I have finally figured out how I will get them to stand on their own. My husband and I drink lots of watter and he drinks Coca Cola. So we had all these bottle caps and bottles and we got to thinking what if I use them by putting holes in the tops and sticking the sticks in to help them stand. I know the caps have writing on them but I everyone here in town is talking about going "Green" and recycling things. I just recycled it into nice trash I guess. I don't think it really matters what the caps say what do you think? I still have not come up with anything else to put with them just yet. I wanted to sprinkle some glitter but my husband said that might be a little messy to clean up, he's probably right. I have been trying to find maybe some Reindeer or a cute Santa that can stand on it's own but not having much lock on that right now. Maybe as the holiday gets closer.

The texture of the letters are from one of my pictures of my little girl that the ink in the printer was running out of when I started printing the page. I thought the colors in the picture would look good on the card. So I guess you could say I went "Green" and recycled on this one.

Silent Night Holy Night Christmas Card

This is another Christmas card that I made. I used the Cuttlebug die snowflake cutes and the embossing folder. I also used rub-ons. The idea for this card did come from card magazine but I did change it up and make it a little different. This is what the Magazine card looked like.

Christmas Card 2

My Husband has a big family so I have to make quite a bit of these Christmas Cards. So when we went to Wal-Mart this weekend I tock a pick in one of the Card Craft Magazines to get some inspiration. This card I made so that it would when you open it would have some of the colorful paper on the inside like I did for the Snowman card. I tock on my artistic license to make the card more like the way I liked it. If I think about it I will post a picture of what the one in the Magazine looked like so that you’ll could compare the differences.

Snowman Christmas Mine Card

I used the cuttlebug dies and I tried to emboss the tress on my own with my hand press holly embosser. I thought that came out rather interesting and I will probably try that again. The snowman also was a cuttlebug die but I thought the face was too hard to see so I used my stamp to embellish the face. I cut the snowman from that paper that you can make stickers from. I think this card came out ok but I want to try some other things and techniques.

Friends Birthday Card

Ok this is a Mimi Card that I made for my sister-in-law’s birthday. She is a little young I think maybe turning 11 years old. Anyway, my husband and I are trying to same money this year and we have started the Dave Ramsey savings plain way before the elections had even finished. This is one of my contributing to helping to save money by making the cards for family birthdays and extra. It takes a little time but I think the hand made cards have more character to them I hope they mean more to the receiver. This will be our gift this year for our many birthdays this month and Christmas presents. Maybe a picture of Penelope enclosed. So what do you think about the card?

I probably will not do this for Penelope really Halloween page since I have already got all of the stuff to make her pages. But I did enjoy making the page on the computer because I like making Graphic Designs for my costumer’s registers.

13 Days of Halloween: How well do you know scary movies?

This game was found in Paper Crafts Magazine: October 2008 issue. My cards are a little different from the ones they had on the magazine but I figured it was more fun to come up with my own idea instead. I also made a little extra cards for more fun! Hopefully some of the kid's tonight at the Halloween Party will enjoy them.

Havok's Thanks

Our Husky keeps getting out of our fence and our Neighbor is usually home when he is getting out and she tries to catch him for us. Or will go after him in their car. So for a thank you to them I made this little card. You can never have to many nice neighbors, usually you don’t have enough!!!

ABC Books

These ABC Books that are in the prose of making are going to be donated to the Methodists Children's Hospital Blue Birds Auxiliary.Every New mom that leaves the Hospital receives a bag with books we would like for our books to also be included in their bags. The goal is to make a total of Five Books but More is welcome if we accomplish more. The design of the book is very simple. If you take A you must have B because you will be putting B on the back of the A page. If your intrested in helping with this project then please e-mail me about the ABC books I can assign you some lettersalong with all paper for the books to keep them Uniform. Once one book is complete we can switch letters, someone might have ideas for other letters when they are thinking about their own.
To help with the creation of these books please let me know your interested either with a comment about this post or on the groups web site: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/masoniccraftgroup/

The Ghost was made out of tissue paper so I don't know if that is why the price of this particular item did not sell very well. I would have hoped to bring in more money then just $2.00. They also received a set of mystery dies that contained some hand cut dies that I cut from hand and created myself. If you are interested in a set of Halloween dies please let me know with either e-mail or a comment and we will talk about what you would like.

This last e-bay bidding brought me in $4.00 for what was shown.

Penelope's 6 Month Page

Here are my little girl’s 6-month pages. These photos have not been glued down yet because I wanted to know what everyone thought about the placement of the pictures. I am not happy with how the small pictures came out I would have liked to see them bigger. I do plain on tucking some of the pictures under the curly quos on the paper. What do you think?
