First Watercolor Media Card

This card I made for a friend that is on her way to a better life. She just had the procurer done where they put the band around your inner stomach so you don’t eat as much anymore. She has already lost 25 pounds before she even went in for it; do to all the fasting they had her do! I hope for the best in her transformation and I want her to do good so this card is for her encouragement to start feeling good about herself!
So I have been playing with other Medias to color my Magnolia stamps just like to experiment with other Medias and how they work. So far I have tried Prism color Pencils and they were ok but I just could not get the colors to blind correctly. I will probably try them again before I put the color pencils away! This was my attempt at coloring with Derwent Watercolor Pencils, not to bad if I do say so myself. I really enjoyed this media so much that I actually started working on another card using the Watercolor Pencils too. So we have not seen the last of this media for me! I also used some distress inks with blinder on the edges of my paper. I used my Gypsy along with my Cricut Expression to make lots of the cuts here. I just love all the creativity you can do with the Gypsy! Magnolia stamps are just lovely to make all these projects come alive!

I haven't used water color pencils as a medium yet, so I think you did a marvelous job. Isn't this little Tilda so cute and the boutique window is the perfect backdrop. I believe your friend will enjoy your work of heart very much...Barb

Hi Rebecca, thats a gorgeous card. I've not tried Watercolour pencils myself but you have done a great job with them. Derwentwater pencils are made in Cumbria in Keswick which is a 50 minute drive from me :)
