Christmas Gifts

So this year for Christmas my gifts were of a variety I have been playing around with some digital design. I been using lots of wonderful Freebies from lots of really neat places trying to get my feet wet on how to do some of this stuff. Here is one of the most involved gifts I did this year.
In this projected I used the Free kit from Shabby Princess at http://www.shabbyprincess.com/downloads/holidayrecipe/holidayrecipecollection.asp this is a wonderful kit for new-bees! Shabby has lots of wonderful Free Recipes cards that you can add to this project on her blog http://www.theshabbyshoppe.com/Blog/ I tock the libratory of using some of her wonderful recipes in my gift but also using them as an inspiration to create more Recipe Cards for my gift. Here is a sample of one of the cards that I created:
If you like this and you like to add to your own please contacted me and I am happy to share with you the file.

Tiddly Inks

So I have been doing some playing around with Digi Stamps and Digi Kits for Scrapbooking, when I made my card for the post below (see here) I used lots of digi papers. That had me thinking what else I could create with these papers. I have always printed out digi stamps and colored them in with my Copic Markers. Well, I have been unable to afford the purchase of these wonderful markers for some time now, I started thinking what if I tried coloring the digi in Adobe Photoshop and then using them on cards or in other Digi projects. So this was my first attempt on coloring a digi stamp and this is what it came out looking like.
I used Tiddly Inks Annie Has Pie Digi Stamp, this was her freebee for Thanksgiving but if you happened to miss out she has it for sale on her website, along with some other really cute other digi stamps. You can find the pie in her Yummy Paper Set I just added it onto this image here. Like to hear what you think of the image above I tried to color it in using a smooth shading tool, but this was my first try on it so it is what it is. Open to suggestiongs, please, or maybe if anyone like to know how to do this.

Good luck my friends there will be some other hints along the way as you go so make sure you take the time to read everyone’s blog postings.

This is my project that I have created using the Magnolia Stamp that is up for wins it is slightly defected but you can’t really tell where the defect is. This stamp was donated by 7kidscollegefund but can’t be returned to her. She can’t do anything about this defect other than trash it so instead of just throwing it out we thought we would give it away; Maggie’s are just too sweet to just throw them out and the defect is not that bad!

So you will be hoping on to Martina’s blog next at http://stampinggoddess-stampalicious.blogspot.com/ and before you go, I will leave you with your first hint you will be unscrambling a total of 4 words so have fun, thanks for playing and enjoy!

Were having a Summer Theme Blog Hop

Hi ladies we over at Scrappers Delight has decided to host a Summer Theme Blog Hop starting on June 24th to July 8th. We are currently taking names of those that would like to take part in the hop and have their projects with their blogs on the list to be visited.

We will be giving away one Magnolia Stamp as one of the prizes.

You would be required to post one project based on a Summer Theme onto your blog on the 24th June. Somewhere within you post you will be asked to display a letter, that each follower will be collecting (the letter will include a scrapbooking element). You will then link your blog to the next Blog Hop member on the list; the last Blog Hop member on the list will link back to the main blog.

If you are able to participate in the hop, please respond to this post or email rebeccalevan81@yahoo.com. Once we have an idea of how many Blog Hop members are taking part, we will post up more information regarding what should be included in your posts, which letter you’re going to post and what the final word will be, deadline for blog candy to be posted to myself Rebecca so this can be photographed ready and links to other blog hops to give you an idea of how they are run.

Thanks for your time, this would be a perfect way to have our little group on Socialgo Network noticed and more followers to our blog.

First Watercolor Media Card

This card I made for a friend that is on her way to a better life. She just had the procurer done where they put the band around your inner stomach so you don’t eat as much anymore. She has already lost 25 pounds before she even went in for it; do to all the fasting they had her do! I hope for the best in her transformation and I want her to do good so this card is for her encouragement to start feeling good about herself!
So I have been playing with other Medias to color my Magnolia stamps just like to experiment with other Medias and how they work. So far I have tried Prism color Pencils and they were ok but I just could not get the colors to blind correctly. I will probably try them again before I put the color pencils away! This was my attempt at coloring with Derwent Watercolor Pencils, not to bad if I do say so myself. I really enjoyed this media so much that I actually started working on another card using the Watercolor Pencils too. So we have not seen the last of this media for me! I also used some distress inks with blinder on the edges of my paper. I used my Gypsy along with my Cricut Expression to make lots of the cuts here. I just love all the creativity you can do with the Gypsy! Magnolia stamps are just lovely to make all these projects come alive!

My first Aisle Card

So I made this card for my sister in laws birthday and it was my first attempt to make the aisle cards that stand up for display. I used the Magnolia Tilda Stamp blowing Fairy Dust since it reminded me of Blowing out the candles to make your birthday wish. I also used my Home Decor Cricut Cartridge and my Cuddle Bug for the embossing. I can’t remember what the name of the paper that I used in the background it has little squiggly lines in the back ground like candle smock, I thought it went well with the card. My sister in law got it for my birthday a few years ago and there is not much of it left. I tend to use it a lot… :)
